Invisible School Mentor Program

A volunteer-based mentoring program connecting underprivileged children in temporary family homes with mentors to support their studies and personal growth.

The Invisible School (Láthatatlan Iskola) is a volunteer-based mentoring program which connects children living in temporary family homes with dedicated mentors who help them with their studies in their free time. The program is completely free for all participants.

The program supports students in all school subjects, from elementary school up to high school graduation. Currently, the program works with 9 temporary homes (8 Temporary Family Homes and 1 Temporary Children Home) in Budapest, Debrecen, and Hajdúböszörmény. More than 80 students study together with their mentors each week, making it a critical anchor of support in their lives.

Inspiring Success Stories

Máté's Story

"Máté joined the Invisible School at age 7 while living in a temporary home. Through weekly mentoring, he excelled academically and received the city-wide 'Great student and great sportsman' award. His family has since moved into their own home, and his mother Juli volunteered for months to give back to others in need."

Dóra's Story

"Dóra spent 2 years in our program. With her mentor's help, she prepared for entrance exams and won an art scholarship to a specialized secondary school, breaking the cycle of early school dropouts."

Interactive EduFun Programs & Camps

Every second month, we organize interactive JövőMenő (EduFun) programs based on non-formal education, letting children learn new skills and explore professions through chemistry experiments, museum tours, slam poetry workshops, and university visits. We also host an annual Summer Camp which provides underprivileged children with educational workshops, beach days, and unforgettable team-building experiences.
