Senta Hospital Cardiology Department

Equipping the cardiology department of Senta Regional Hospital in Serbia, serving a regional population of 185,000.

This major international project by the Rotary Club Budapest City successfully established and equipped a complete cardiology department at the Regional Hospital of Senta in Vojvodina, Serbia.

The Senta Regional Hospital is a critical medical anchor, serving a regional population of 185,000 people. Crucially, it is the last hospital in Serbia capable of communicating with and treating patients in the Hungarian language. Before this project, the hospital faced a severe shortage of modern diagnostic and monitoring equipment.

Delivered Equipment & Impact

The project delivered high-end medical equipment, including:

  • 12 Patient Monitors connected with a central monitoring station
  • Advanced telemetric monitoring system
  • 3 state-of-the-art ultrasound machines
  • EKG machines and electronic stethoscopes
  • 7 infusion pumps for precise medicine dosage
  • 82 modern patient beds, cabinets, and specialized hospital furniture
  • 180-liter industrial kitchen frying pan and other catering improvements
  • Multiple pallets of medical consumables

This project drastically upgraded the level of cardiac care in the region, saving numerous lives and ensuring patients could receive care from doctors speaking their native language.
